Abstract
Belief in the absolute infallibility of the "Prophet (PBUH) and the pure Imams (PBUH)" is one of the special beliefs of
Twelver Shiites. All Imamiyyah scholars agree that both the Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) are innocent of sin and innocent of any mistakes. However, based on a few narrations reported in the four Shia hadith books, two of the Imamiyya scholars believe that the Prophet (PBUH) was mistaken. These two; Sheikh Sadouq and his teacher are
Muhammad bin Hasan bin Waleed Qomi. Based on the theory of Sehwal Nabi, who has documented the aforementioned traditions, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) often made mistakes, doubts, and forgetfulness during prayer. By
examining and analyzing the documents of these narrations as well as their content, the weakness of the document and in some cases the transmission of the narrations, which increases the possibility of falsification, as well as their apparent opposition and contradiction with the solid and correct hadiths and the verses of the Qur'an, will be clarified. Therefore, with the loosening of the validity foundations of Sehwannabi's theory, the invalidation of this theory is also revealed.
Therefore, with the invalidity of these narrations and the weakness of the documentation of this hypothesis, with
Khalaf's argument; While denying that the Prophet (PBUH) made mistakes, the absolute infallibility of the innocents is
proven.
