Abstract
Islam is a school of education that everything in it is somehow related to human cultivation and education, and many verses and traditions refer to this matter. Recognizing the harmful factors in spiritual education is one of the most important educational topics that determine the rules and norms governing the education process, and due to the stages of human development, the principles governing the process are different according to each stage of development. The article deals with the challenges and obstacles that are provided in the spiritual education of a person in a descriptive-analytical way from the perspective of Islamic teachings. Spiritual education in the individual field is sometimes damaged due to the lack of approach and deep attention to Islamic teachings. The results of the research showed that in the individual field, disbelief, neglect, arrogance, worldliness, ignorant and soulless worship, hypocrisy, stonewalling and intellectualism, superstition and heresy, superficiality, uncriticism and sin are harmful to spiritual education. In this regard, the right to believe, thinking and deep thought in Islamic teachings, rationalization, faith and righteous action are also a solution provided by Islamic teachings in order to de-harm spiritual education.
