Abstract
Ethnic, religious or linguistic minority is defined as any group of people who make up less than half of the total population of the territory of a country, whose members share common characteristics of culture, religion or language or a combination of each of them. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights guarantees our rights without distinction of nationality, place of residence, gender, ethnicity, religion, language or any other status. The purpose of this research is to examine minority rights in international law. The research method in this article is analytical and descriptive and uses library resources. The results show the necessity of a correct understanding of human rights with regard to developments and insisting on their observance by governments and facilitating their enjoyment by the right holders, the basis for planning, establishing and developing the right to religious education of minorities. The research results indicate that the principles of equality and non-discrimination are at the heart of human rights. Equality is in line with the 2030 Agenda and the approach of the United Nations and sustainable development. This clause includes addressing and finding solutions to entrenched forms of discrimination that affect the most vulnerable people in our societies.
