A Comparative Study of the Desired Personality Model from the Perspective of Rumi with the Psychoanalytical Approach

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to present the ideal personality model from Rumi's point of view and to compare it with the psychoanalytical approach. 
Methodology: This research was based on the practical purpose and based on the qualitative data collection method. Using the exploratory qualitative approach, the analysis of Rumi's sources was investigated and the components of the desired character model were identified based on the qualitative approach. Firstly, the description of the desirable character model according to Rumi was discussed. Then the concepts of Rumi were compared with the psychoanalytical approach.
Findings: Totally, the analysis of the obtained results indicates that according to Rumi, the components of a desirable personality model include things such as adaptation with the environment, sublimation, inner pleasure, the grace of sadness and grief, having a true or real personality, being open to criticism and not to find fault. 
In addition, the analysis of the results showed that Rumi's view has deep conceptual similarities with George Kelly's cognitive approach and Maslow's humanism. 
Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, specialists and experts can expand the psychological content of Rumi's view in the fields of education and training at all educational levels.
