Investigating the effectiveness of teaching semantics combined with Quran recitation and prayer on the professional competencies of student teachers of Farhangian University

Abstract
The existence of competent teachers is necessary for the growth and development of the society, which can be improved with training and interventions. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of teaching semantics combined with Quran recitation and prayer on the professional competence of student teachers of Farhangian University. The present study was a semi-experimental pre-test-post-test type with a control group. The statistical population was formed by all students and teachers of Farhangian University of Kerman in 1402. The samples of this research were 30 people from the mentioned society who were selected using available sampling method and were assigned to two experimental (15 people) and control (15 people) groups with the help of simple random method. Semanticism education combined with Quran recitation and prayer was implemented for the experimental group in 12 sessions of 90 minutes. But no action was taken on the control group. The professional competency questionnaire of Motahrinejad and Jahangerd (2017) was implemented for them. Was. Data analysis was done with descriptive tests (mean and standard deviation) and covariance analysis using SPSS version 24 software. P value less than 0.05 was considered significant. The results showed that the teaching of semantics combined with Quran recitation and prayer has an effect on the professional competencies of Farhangian University students (P<0.01). According to the results of this research, this type of training can be used to increase the professional skills of student teachers.
