Abstract
Purpose: Today, the importance of the mental health of the elderly and its tremendous impact on other aspects of their physical, social and spiritual health is undeniable, and it seems that treatments based on Quranic teachings play an important role in their mental and physical health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of meaning therapy based on Islamic teachings on the mental health and resilience of elderly men in Sanandaj. Meaning therapy based on Islamic teachings is effective on the mental health and resilience of the elderly in Sanandaj at a significance level of P<0.001 Conclusion: Considering the effectiveness of meaning therapy based on Islamic teachings on mental health and resilience, this therapy can be used to reduce the psychological problems of the elderly.
