Background and Objective: This study aimed to identify the components of children’s moral education in contemporary Iranian families and propose a model to enhance the effectiveness of family-based education. Methodology: This research was based on grounded theory for its implementation. The participants included 15 specialists and educators in the fields of education and Quranic studies, selected based on theoretical saturation and through purposeful sampling. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview, and the data were analyzed in three stages: open coding, axial coding, and selective coding using MAXQDA2020 software. Results: The findings revealed that moral education for children can be explained in six dimensions: causal conditions, core categories, contextual conditions, intervening factors, strategies, and outcomes. Causal conditions emphasize the importance of religious role models and modern social changes. Core categories focus on the necessity of balancing traditional teachings with sensitivity to contemporary conditions. Contextual conditions include family structure, economic status, consumer culture, and access to technology as influencing factors, while intervening factors such as parental education level, mental health, family interactions, and peer influences are considered key. The strategies include integrating the reinforcement of moral values with a focus on Quranic teachings, practical role modeling based on the behavior of the Prophet and the Ahl al-Bayt, and strengthening family support inspired by Islamic tradition, which leads to both short-term and long-term outcomes. Conclusion: The proposed model of this study, inspired by Quranic teachings, can enhance the moral education of children within the framework of Islamic culture by strengthening family interactions and promoting Islamic ethical education strategies.
