Abstract
Background and objective: The present study seeks to answer the following questions: What are the primary psychological challenges faced by housewives, prioritized in order of significance? How can a spiritual and philosophical intervention based on the principles outlined in the book 'Doros-e Ma'refat-e Nafs' by Allameh Hassan-Zadeh Amoli address the anxiety of housewives? The principles of self-knowledge as discussed in this book, can assist housewives in achieving self-awareness and addressing their psychological challenges more effectively.

Methods and Materials: To identify the challenges, observational methods, interviews with housewives, and a review of the existing literature were utilized. To extract the principles of self-knowledge, a qualitative thematic analysis network was employed. Following the analysis of high-frequency data, a group-based spiritual and philosophical intervention grounded in the principles of self-knowledge was designed and implemented.

Results: The findings reveal those housewives face challenges such as feelings of worthlessness, loneliness, anxiety, depression, and hopelessness.

Conclusion: The philosophical and spiritual intervention can serve as an effective tool in enhancing the mental health of housewives. By imparting meaning to life, boosting self-esteem, fostering hope, and increasing resilience, this intervention helps housewives address life's challenges in a more constructive manner. Ultimately, this study proposes a model for strengthening the foundations of self-knowledge among housewives and highlights the role of this approach in promoting their psychological well-being.
